Middletown RI Beaches
Beach Parking during COVID-19
COVID-19 Beach update as of July 24, 2020:
NEW HOURS EFFECTIVE JULY 25: beach parking lots will be managed by Middletown beach employees from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Vehicles will need a seasonal parking sticker in order to park at any of the beach parking lots up to 6:00 p.m. The Town reserves the right to limit parking spots in order to protect public health.
The Town will sell resident and non-resident seasonal parking passes at the Gazebo next to Second Beach, weather permitting (payment by check preferred, no credit cards.) On cooler or less busy weekdays, parking passes will be sold at the entrance to the Main Parking Lot at Second Beach. There are no daily parking passes sold at the beach this summer.
Town administration made the decision recently to not sell parking passes online this summer – passes will only be sold at the beach.
•Regular pass: $70.00
• Senior pass: $65.00
•Motorcycle pass: $30.00
• The issuance of a free pass for Third Beach will be suspended for the season

At the main parking lot at Second Beach, a number of parking spots will be reserved for non-resident season pass holders, available on a first-come-first-serve basis to non-residents. A similar number of parking spots will be reserved for resident season pass holders, available to residents on a first-come-first-serve basis. The Town reserves the right to limit the overall capacity of the parking lot in order to protect public health and safety because of COVID-19 pandemic.
A limited number of parking spots have been added to Triangle A across the road from Surfer’s End. These parking spots are available to residents and non-resident season pass holders on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Both parking lots at Third Beach will open on June 6 for town residents only, but all residents will need to purchase a seasonal pass to park at any of the beach parking lots. These include Second Beach, Surfer’s End, Third Beach Boat Ramp, Town Beach and Dunlap-Wheeler Park.
